Hi crazy coupon friends, its your crazy friend Alex here. Today i am introducing my couponing into blog. I just traveled to Chicago two weeks ago. Today I’m gonna write about cheap travel for short and or long distances.
For me I was traveling to Chicago because of a blogger conference called Go Blog Social. I am a marketing student and used this as an opportunity to learn about branding and social media implementation.
My method of travel since I am a student had to be the cheapest possible form of travel. I knew the way to go was Mega Bus. Mega Bus I learned about when I was attending Art school. It was a the dollar bus everyone said you can travel on. Ive been traveling and using Mega Bus for a lot of my trips to short places in Iowa, Chicago and Wisconsin. I have never used Mega Bus to travel long distances.
My recent trip was only a total of 47.00. It’s really true on what they say when they say it is a cheap way to travel. I chose to book my trip on a Thursday night. The reason that I chose to do this was because of the fact it was cheaper to do so! All you do is book your reservations and then print out your confirmation reservations. It is that simple.
If you are like me you are really wanting to save money in every way possible , why don’t you book yourself an easy trip with mega bus. The great things about the bus for me in my case it stops in my hometown. I was able to meet my dad for 10 or so minutes. He brought me dinner (which was a lifesaver as i am on a budget).
The second thing that is pretty great as far as cheap travel is Grey Hound. The grey hound isn’t to0 expensive depending on where you are going. I have taken it a few times from Des Moines / Chicago or Des Moines/Davenport Iowa. The one great feature in Des Moines is the Grey Hound terminal is a small terminal. Its easy to get in an out. The bus its self is nice. They also offer free WiFi and make several stops to pick up different people.
If you are traveling long distances these are fairly easy accessible options. The holidays are coming up, so I would suggest that you book early. The reason I chose to write about buses for travel is that the city I live in has no train or no other sort of transportation besides an air port. Relatively I felt that the airport was to expensive, and i was only going a very short distance.
I hope you find these travel options easy & accessible
-Have a great week,
(*All opinions are my own and do not any shape or form reflect mega bus or grey hound*)
This weekend is a very busy one for me. Today i depart for Kansas City. I am on a trip with my Marketing Group, exploring different professionals in the workplace. I have picked out a few of my cant live without travel essentials. Literally every item on this list i have. I however i am obsessed with the Customized Timbuk 2 bag. I have loved Timbuk 2 since my art school days. Im pretty excited to tour their new store in Chicago this weekend. Where is a place you’d like to travel? Let me know in the comments! Have a Fabulous Thursday.

I’ve been in a vacation mood lately, thinking about somewhere i haven’t been before, well you can guess? HAWAII! I have been watching to many vintage travel films and TV shows (not to mention that Brady Bunch Episode) . I picked up this beautiful Kimono a week ago, and fell in love with the colors and the “Aloha” written on, so i thought id put together a fun vintage Hawaii look! Enjoy.

Hey there, welcome to this weekend’s edition of Styledintheheartland, I’m sorry i don’t get to post much during the week, i have not a ton of time on my hands then , but today Was really cold. My friends took me to a park, where i shot photos for them (i do photography for my job). So i had a lot of fun in the park running around shooting and freezing to death. I chose this sweater because it has a lot of meaning to me, it was the sweater i purchased right before i moved out of Chicago and i haven’t worn it since last year, and i was 65lbs heavier so it brought back memories putting it on I really want to focus on my jewelry. The Leaf Necklace i am wearing was made by a jewelry company called Decadence, which i found out through Handmade City. Andrew, the designer creates one of a kind vintage pieces, and He’s so incredibly talented. I love this necklace it took me forever to decided when i purchased it. If you really want to check his work out i will drop Decendances Facebook and etsy links at the bottom of the post. I really hope that you are all staying warm out there, next weekend i will have a special post, as i travel back to Chicago a year later to relive my time there. I will hopefully be meeting some other bloggers and friends and i will be attending a few events and some shopping. Until Tomorrow, xx

Hey guys, thank you for joining me on this delightful saturday. I recently (today) went to Bishop Hill IL its a little town in IL with all kinds of crafts, little shops, demonstrations, and all kinds of good foods. It was a ladies day with my church, so i decided to wear something fun and purple. We cant forget about how great purple is special deep purple in the falls is. I admit i look somewhat a bit horrid today mainly is because im sick with a sinus infection but i was a trooper and went anyway today. I got to try lots of great foods, look at alot of cute things and i purchased a few jems from Peasant Works- (you can read about them here: (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Peasant-Works/188845943561) Its a cute little barn full of antiques hand made items. Hey Guys! Welcome to Sunday Funday! Thanks for again joining me for some fun. Today I was on my way to a partay for my cousin who got married yesterday so I wanted to choose Warm, but yet Casual. In my family we are big on thrifting, especially me if you know from reading my blog. So I took my butt to Salvation Army yesterday and found these amazing Slim-fit straight pants in a rich blue color that I fell in love with! I also found a sparkly sweater that I fell in love with and have been dying to wear this vintage clock necklace (YO’ FLAVA FLAV YEAHHHH! BOIIII). Also found this great locket last night that I wanted to wear. I had so much fun pairing neon accents with a casual look (see, I told you all neon rules!). I am also loving this little cute, clutch I sported all day, it was an awesome find last night too! I can’t believe the weekend is all over! I hope you enjoyed this shorty posting, and I cant wait til next weekend’s fun! xx
