For me, the magic of Hawaii comes from the stillness, the sea, the stars- Joanne Harris
I’ve been in a vacation mood lately, thinking about somewhere i haven’t been before, well you can guess? HAWAII! I have been watching to many vintage travel films and TV shows (not to mention that Brady Bunch Episode) . I picked up this beautiful Kimono a week ago, and fell in love with the colors and the “Aloha” written on, so i thought id put together a fun vintage Hawaii look! Enjoy.

Hey guys, thank you for joining me on this delightful saturday. I recently (today) went to Bishop Hill IL its a little town in IL with all kinds of crafts, little shops, demonstrations, and all kinds of good foods. It was a ladies day with my church, so i decided to wear something fun and purple. We cant forget about how great purple is special deep purple in the falls is. I admit i look somewhat a bit horrid today mainly is because im sick with a sinus infection but i was a trooper and went anyway today. I got to try lots of great foods, look at alot of cute things and i purchased a few jems from Peasant Works- (you can read about them here: (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Peasant-Works/188845943561) Its a cute little barn full of antiques hand made items. I enjoyed taking a lot of photos for this beautiful trip. I tried all kinds of foods, apple butter, a lovely turkey sandwhich . Hey Guys! Welcome to Sunday Funday! Thanks for again joining me for some fun. Today I was on my way to a partay for my cousin who got married yesterday so I wanted to choose Warm, but yet Casual. In my family we are big on thrifting, especially me if you know from reading my blog. So I took my butt to Salvation Army yesterday and found these amazing Slim-fit straight pants in a rich blue color that I fell in love with! I also found a sparkly sweater that I fell in love with and have been dying to wear this vintage clock necklace (YO’ FLAVA FLAV YEAHHHH! BOIIII). Also found this great locket last night that I wanted to wear. I had so much fun pairing neon accents with a casual look (see, I told you all neon rules!). I am also loving this little cute, clutch I sported all day, it was an awesome find last night too! I can’t believe the weekend is all over! I hope you enjoyed this shorty posting, and I cant wait til next weekend’s fun! xx

Hey there, Welcome To Sunday Funday. I wanted to share a fun Easy DIY project you can do, if you have been watching trends, its super trendy to have a cut off shoulders, everyones wearing it these days! (Equipment is a very popular comapany for having a style check it out here: http://www.blondgenius.com/item.aspx/nixie-shirt/1141/ You can purchase that @Blond Genius (which is located in Des Moines). But yesterday amongst hustle and bustle of all i had. I stopped at a estate sale, and there was ALOT of vintage books, bells from every state and some clothes, i pulled this top and i though wow! But it looks to boring for my taste, but what could i do to make it into spectacular. I First decided to cut the shoulder pads out of it (Because im no-lady gaga and shoulder pads well i dont like them). But hence for this i followed an easy-step by step DIY tutorial (for me i couldnt cut super low because of the beading so i carefully eyed it). Here is a great tutorial, from THE FITTING : http://www.thefitting.com/2011/04/diy-cut-out-shoulders.html where she will show you step -by step how to do this, fun cut out top. You can have your own Equipment Like top..
Credits: Top (Yard Sale .25 cents) Cutouts ( I DIYED it) Necklace “Creative” – Necklaces – By “Things With Wings:” (you can check out them here: www.thingswithwingsartjournal.blogspot.com ( they are out of iowa city and are mixed media artists ) – I purchased this through Riverssance Arts Festival yesterday Because i fell in love with mixed media! Earrings: vintage yard sale!
-Have a great Sunday xx
