Snacking Obessions.

SnackObsessionsxSTYHLLately I’ve been on this kick, about snacking. Healthy Snacking, or Snacking in general, For along time ive kinda searched for snacks that are healthy and crunchy and fun.

First we have Snyders pretzels these are like the greatest little snack ever. my boyfriend turned me onto the pretzel. I wasn’t the hugest pretzel fan in the world. I thought they were so boring. I recently took a trip to target. I was recently looking in the snack isle and i came across Synders Pretzels. Snyders pretzel run about 3.00-4.00 a bag. They are very tasty. I was first turned onto the cheese type. I’m a huge fan of cheddar, but then recently i tried the ranch.. Hello taste buds. They are so tasty and good.. They kind of taste like a little pickle tasting at fist but the ranch is super good and Target has a deal right now (2 for 5.00 check local target stores for that deal).

Secondly we have the Harvest snaps. I tried this snack about a year ago, from a former co-worker. I really enjoyed the flavor. I have tried a lot of the flavors that they offer. I recently picked up the tomato basil. The Cesar flavor its my favorite! First in Iowa (Des Moines) they were hard to find. My local Hy-vee finally had them. I was so stoked, but a recent trip to target i picked up a bag. There’s not very many in a bag, but they are SO delicious. They don’t really taste like peas, but they are cesar flavored. They run about 3.00-4.00 a bag too. They are so worth it.

Thridly we have the Pop Chip, I willingly admitted have never tried the pop chips. I recently won a contest with Chicago Bloggers Network for a twitter party. I won a whole case of pop chips! There are so many flavors to love. The first flavor I fell in love with , was the sweet potato, who knew that one could love sweet potatoes so much in a chip? They also have many other great flavors. The barbeque is the best too. The chips have no fake colors, no fake flavors, no preservatives, no fluorescent orange fingertips! They are healthy and flavorful and a better crunchy treat. Check out pop chips today!

Well by now, If you have followed me on Instagram you’d would have known i spent my weekend in Chicago IL. I arrived Friday afternoon only to meet with my designer friend Ashley Drapes (who you before saw me style in earlier post which you may be-wanting to buy DRAPES and NOW), i have a new piece from Drapes i cant wait to wear. This weekend was just nuts, i spent more time running around that city than anything (if you know i used to live there). I was mostly there to attend a concert and see friends (which partly didn’t happen due to schedules and time conflicts) However, i did attend a fabulous Midwest Style bloggers brunch on Saturday morning held at QUAY . I was nervous not knowing what to expect because i myself am relatively new at blogging.  However, i did learn a lot from seasoned veterans in the game, that you blog what you love, and what I’m Loving, everything (bedazzled ahem that sweater I’m wearing). I went with an open mind and to represent Iowa as my state (which there were a few others there from out-of-town). Here are 5 things i learned.

  1. Always be yourself, do what you know, blog what you love. Dont be afraid to be who you are (being plus -sized or not)
  2. Hard work does pay off.
  3. Networking and Bouncing ideas off each other, helps epically when your very new
  4. Its OK to live on a small budget (for me that’s where my passion streams out from)
  5. Everyone has there own style, you just need to find out how to work with yours.

See, the event payed off more ways than one, plus i got to meet a lot of fabulous women, and eat some delicious food from Quay (might i mention that the space is like the best Chicago had to offer? I mean lets talk about swanky to a T) below i will share some fun images from my trip including my swag from the awesome gift bags that were provided from the brunch. Also, i made a rather special buy at Louis Vuitton (i told myself only one time and as a result I’ve made a commitment not to shop for 2 moths to be financially responsible, who am i turning into my dad?) I had a fabulous time in Chicago, a huge thank you to the sponsors of my fabulous time at the #MSBBRUNCHI

12A Huge thank you to the sponsors of the event Quay Chicago, Langford Market (which i did take a visit to and the staff was very helpful and Loads of fun dresses i picked up some cute jewelry and i love it!) Berco’s Popcorn (Chicago’s most delicious popcorn way better than garrets) , Tieks, Vita Coco, Thyme Is Honey (ps i won a fabulous organizational pad i love), The Gem Lush, two rubbies, Comfort Me (which was SUPER amazing to visit the girl helping me was very nice and invited me back next time i visit Chicago) , Pretty Quick,  Nicole by Opi, Jouer Cosmetics (which i LOVE my new grace color!)  Red Apple Lipstick , Bloomingdales.

*note i have not been compensated for mentioning anything in this post, this is just for the love of these brands who showed me love*
