I am sort of in love with the with this cute KC Royals hat! I am so excited that they are the world series! I hope you love a little glitz with sports. Fun ways to really charm up your sports clothing. Be sure to check out all the great baseball hats and much more on Fanatics ! Happy Monday, welcome back from my crazy last week. (i took a week off to much stuff going on). Last weekend i went to Go Blog Social X Chicago! I had a crazy crazy weekend in Chicago (i almost didn’t make it home). I am just finishing up a huge paper about my trip to Kansas City. I am going to point out a few key things i learned from our speakers (ps i love the EVERY GIRL speakers!)
- Alison Ray of Sassy Moms in The City– i love here! I met her last year (on my first blogger brunch). She had a lot of great thing to say. One key point she really discussed was “YOU CREATE YOUR OWN OPPORTUNITIES”. I have always been a firm believer in this. My life motto is you want it you MAKE IT HAPPEN. It was pretty amazing to here it come from someone who has been in the blogging industry to a long time.
- Farrisa Knox of What R U Wearing – created a stellar presentation called Boss Period. She talked a lot about where she came from. Explained to us how she handles employees, and her business . One thing i took away from her stories is not only to be a #GIRLBOSS but to be a Boss of your own destiny! Also to reach out and do things Outside of your comfort zone.
- Daniel Moss of The Every Girl– I loved the Every Girl ( I admitt I’m not an average reader of that website, but i have read it before and enjoyed it) I got to hear the story about How the Every Girl got started. The stories that came along from this little site were amazing. One thing i really took away from this was to just Be “True and Authentic”. I loved hearing about the story how a little website grew and grew!
- It was really nice to connect with others offline. To visit with old friends or to meet new friends. Its really important to know where ever you are in your journey in blogging or a business is that we have all been there one time or another.
I feel super wonderful to have the chance to be able to travel and meet with others. It helps me to be passionate and remember why i started this in the first place. I want to thank Go Blog Social and All the Sponsors that worked with us during the event.
have a wonderful Monday.
I am so excited for this weekend! I am attending Go Blog Social X Chicago Pop Up! A day conference geared toward bloggers from the Midwest, a way to connect offline. I have been traveling all day, and tonight i get on a bus at 12:40 am and travel over night to Chicago. I have a jammed pack weekend in Chicago this weekend. I cant believe how full my schedule is while i am there! I am so excited. I have thought of a lot of questions i want to ask for myself after this conference is over. I hope you all have a great weekend! If you are at GBS stop and say hi!
This weekend is a very busy one for me. Today i depart for Kansas City. I am on a trip with my Marketing Group, exploring different professionals in the workplace. I have picked out a few of my cant live without travel essentials. Literally every item on this list i have. I however i am obsessed with the Customized Timbuk 2 bag. I have loved Timbuk 2 since my art school days. Im pretty excited to tour their new store in Chicago this weekend. Where is a place you’d like to travel? Let me know in the comments! Happy Tuesday! This week is a busy one for me! I am off this weekend to Kansas city and Chicago. This last weekend i really cleaned out my closet. I got rid of 14 bags of clothing. I have been really under going a change in my style. I only actually kept a few things that i felt really like me. I kept this cute little sweater and skirt. I thought i would post them because i am celebrating over 100 consecutive posts today! To think this last year, i was merely a baby blog. I have grown so much since this last year. I want to thank everyone and (even the my fans on GOMI) for driving me to do better !
One thing i love about fall is all the pretty colors. More recently i have been breaking out my plaid and flannel. I haven’t been feeling well, so i have been browsing lots of cute fashion ideas. I am obsessing over these plaid items i found. I am in love with plaid for the fall. I hope you enjoy the fun things i have found! Have a great monday.

Ocotober is breast cancer awareness month. This year i will be running Race for the Cure . I picked out a few of my favorite pink things right now. I am sorta of obsessed with the Pink Carousel collection from Zelie for She. The best part of the collection is that a portion funds breast cancer research. I also am obsessed with lipsticks. I love the Ka’oir line! The best part about this lipstick its called “survivor”. The proceeds go to fund the Susan G Komen Foundation. I also put in a few more little things, my favorite bow pumps at the moment! The bag is also from Brighton, its a “breast cancer” awareness bag! I hope you have a great weekend. Remember Breast Cancer is important. Schedule your mammograms today. Keep fighting.
*this post is dedicated to Annette Franklin, who i have the honor of running for. Keep fighting the good fight neighbor. Love you.
Jacket: Vintage (Similar) / Top: Old (no longer available) / Pants: Cinched Leg Track Pants – Old Navy / Shoes: Lava “honey” / Bracelets : Positivity Bands / Watch: Gucci (Similar) / Necklace: Vintage
The one thing about fall, that it seems I am more comfortable in clothing. I found these amazing track pants from old navy. The sporty chic is an amazing trend. I decided to dress it up with a statement jacket and some heels. I was super comfortable. The great thing is that the pants fit any type of body. They work if you are plus or not. I just made it a subtle black and white look. Happy Thursday.

Currently one of my dream places to shop is Bloomingdales. Every year they offer 20% during their friends and family sale. I went ahead and picked out my favorites. What’s really great about Bloomingdales is that they provide a wide variety of designers and styles. Bloomingdales is pretty amazing, they even offer stylish plus size clothing. I of course had to pick everything leather (since leather is my current obsession). I have two different categories here, clothes and shoes and accessories. I hope you shop the sale, and have a great Wednesday.
